The Dash collection started with a brooch and has gradually grown from there. When thinking about neck pieces I thought, wouldn’t it be great if brooches and pendants could be interchangeable? I agonised over how to do this and typically came up with mechanisms that were overly complicated and very difficult to make. Finally I had an idea that was almost too good to be true - to simply pass the pin through a steel tube. I was very pleased with myself. Switching from a pendant to brooch couldn’t be easier! Then, to have the option of wearing the pendant vertically was a no-brainer - you simply pass the cord under the pin.
