A love of making

I’m a British artist with a lifelong passion for making — driven by curiosity, imagination, and a desire to create objects that speak without words. Jewellery, for me, is a quiet form of communication… a way to hold emotion in physical form. Whether simple or elaborate, wearable or sculptural, each piece is charged with positivity — a small battery of energy, made to be felt.

Process and materials

I work with a wide range of materials and processes, some traditional, some more experimental — always guided by what the piece seems to need and the best way to bring an idea into being. I’ve never been too precious about sticking to one method or material; I enjoy following wherever the work leads.

Collaboration and cross disciplinary work

Over time, my more expressive pieces have led to collaborations with other artists, dancers, choreographers, filmmakers, scientists, musicians, and photographers. These moments of connection across disciplines have expanded how I understand jewellery — not just as adornment, but as something performative, transformative, and alive.

I continue to explore, learn, and create — guided, always, by a sense of wonder and a desire for more.

Recognition and awards

I’ve been fortunate to receive a number of awards, perhaps most notably The Goldsmiths’ Company Award twice (in 2016 and 2019), affectionately known as the “Jewellery Oscar.” My 2019 winning piece, Lacewing, is part of the Verto series and is made from sterling silver discs, embellished with 48 diamonds. The stones act as subtle highlights, but the real focus is on sculptural form and movement — taking precious jewellery into a new space and challenging the notion of jewellery as mere accessory.

Editorial recognition

Later in 2019, Lacewing was selected by The Economist’s 1843 Magazine as a standout piece in their annual high jewellery issue (November 2019). It was photographed for the front cover, under the creative direction of Luxury Editor Melanie Grant. The styling expanded on the piece’s futuristic aesthetic, with references to Blade Runner — a moment that felt surreal and unforgettable.

Published recognition

Melanie Grant featured my work in her book COVETED: Art and Innovation in High Jewellery, describing me as “one of only 75 master jewellers globally to have changed design.”

Collections

Collectors of my work include Tuan Lee, Tiqui Atencio, Solange Thierry de St Rapt, Nancy Olnick, Robert Hiller, and Lady Helen Hamlyn. Several pieces have also been acquired by public collections in both the UK and the USA — including The Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina, and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.

Fairs and Exhibitions

My work has been shown at fairs and exhibitions including Design Miami, SOFA Chicago, MIART Milan, PAD Monaco, PAD London, Masterpiece London and Treasure House London.

I’m currently based in Hove, UK, and represented by Elisabetta Cipriani Gallery in Mayfair, London.
