Adventures in Wearable Objects
by John Moore

John Moore is an award winning British artist recognised for his originality and ingenuity. Driven by a deep sense of wonder and divine purpose he continues to explore the depths of his imagination, intent on creating the most beautiful objects possible. Whether ‘normal’ in terms of size and wearability or outlandish wearable sculptures, he describes his jewellery pieces as ‘wordless expressions of love’… ‘batteries of positive energy’.
A self-proclaimed “materials slut” he works with an ever expanding variety of media and processes, some tried, tested and traditional, others arguably crazy, but always in service of the vision and how best to make it real.
His dramatic, wearable sculptures have lead to collaborations with photographers, choreographers, dancers, musicians, filmmakers and scientists, taking jewellery into new, unexplored realms. read more >

An exhibition curated by Dr Elizabeth Goring and Gregory Parsons
‘Designer-made, one-of-a kind jewellery is very much having a moment. As curators with long experience in this area, we believe it’s attained an exciting level of excellence: something of a Golden Age, worthy of celebration.
We are seeing breathtaking technical skills, exciting materials experimentation, and innovative processes and concepts. These qualities are particularly striking at a time of adverse economic challenges, grave environmental concerns and devastating cuts to skills-based education.’ Find out more…
