Useful Info & Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Please bear in mind that I am only one person.
    I’m also a classic ‘time-optimist’ who invariably spreads himself across more projects than he can cope with at one time. 

    I cannot promise when or how frequently new work will materialise, but I will add new pieces as I make them.

    I will announce these ‘product drops’ through newsletters and on my instagram so if you’re not already following me then please do so @johnmoorestudio and sign up to my newsletter to get first dibs. 

  • Some of the items here will be tagged as a ‘one-off’‍ , ‍‘unique in a series’ or ‘limited edition’

    ‘one-off’ refers to pieces that are completely unique. There is only one in the world.

    ‘Unique in a series’ means the piece belongs to a group of pieces that are similar but with individual features that make each one unique.

    ‘limited edition’ means that I will only make a maximum number of repeats of this design and in this specific colour way.

    Designs without any of these tags will remain open ended. I may continue to reproduce a design and/or colour way if it is well received or just because I like it. However, even these items will be extremely limited in numbers so if you like something then it’s best not to hesitate!

  • If a piece you wanted is already sold then I apologise in advance. If it was tagged as a ‘one-off’ then I’m afraid you’ve missed out. If not then you can sign up to the waitlist for that design and receive a notification once I’ve been able to make more. Alternatively, if you can’t wait then you can contact me directly to discuss a special order.

    Otherwise keep an eye on my instagram and newsletter for new releases.

  • Yes!

    The jewellery will be packaged in a white presentation box with a foam insert. The box (minus the insert) is made from sustainably sourced and recycled materials. It is recyclable and compostable.

    This will go inside a padded envelop for posting.

  • Not usually, but if you’re purchasing a gift for someone to whom you want it shipped directly then please message me to ask for gift wrapping.

    Make sure to tell me your name and your order number.

    I won’t charge extra for this.

  • If the jewellery doesn’t fit then contact me and I will see if it’s possible to make an adjustment or swap it for a different size.  Otherwise you can exchange it for something else or I’ll issue a refund. Please see my terms and conditions.

  • If you would like to discuss a commission then I would love to work with you. Please get in touch and we can arrange an initial chat.

    Perhaps you would like an existing design in a bespoke colour way, or maybe you want something completely unique to you.

    Think about what kind of piece you might like based upon my existing work, including size, materials, colours etc and have an idea of the budget you would like to spend.

    Please be aware that this can be a lengthy process depending on the nature of the commission.

Terms & Conditions:

  • I use Royal Mail’s collection service for convenience and they advise allowing an extra day to the usual delivery time.

    I will do my best to book a collection and dispatch your order as soon as possible but please bear with me if things take a little longer.

    If you need the order urgently then please contact me and I will do my best to push it through.

    Christmas Orders
    Towards Christmas, please make yourself aware of last posting dates and make sure to allow plenty of time, especially for international orders.

    Take notice of the Shop page where I will announce my own last date for Christmas orders. Orders placed after this time will not be dispatched until January.

    Other delays can occur beyond my control and for which I am not responsible.

  • Shipping within the UK is FREE on purchases over £500 (GBP)

    Purchases £101 - £500 will be shipped using Royal Mail Special Delivery - £15.

    Purchases under £100 can be shipped using Royal Mail Tracked 24 - £6 or Special Delivery - £15 depending on your preference.

    Your purchases will be well packed and fully insured during transit.

  • Orders shipped outside of the UK will be sent using Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed service - £25 (GBP)

  • I am confident you are going to love the jewellery but if you wish to return it then you must do so within 30 days of the delivery date.

    Items purchased during November and December as Christmas gifts can be returned up until the 31st January.

    Items must be returned unworn, in perfect, original condition and packaging in order to get a refund. You are liable for any diminished value from unnecessary handling.

    Commissions/special orders or items that have been customised or resized are non-refundable.

  • As a perfectionist, quality and finish are extremely important to me. However if the jewellery arrives damaged or incomplete you must report it in writing, including photographs, as soon as possible or within 7 days of delivery then return it within 14 days.

  • International orders may incur tax & duty. You the customer are responsible for this.

  • If you’re local to Brighton and Hove or you happen to be visiting the area then you’re welcome to come and visit the studio to collect you jewellery. Just select the ‘pick-up’ option during check-out and contact me to arrange it.
